To read a detailed history of Tara Farm, take a moment to read Suzy Lucine's article that appeared in the October 2001 issue of Horse World magazine, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the founding of Tara Farm.
Today, Tara Farm is still a thriving Morgan Horse centerpiece with breeding, training, lessons and introductions to Morgans happening on a daily basis. Over 150 Morgans have been registered with the Tara prefix, and the Tara "look" is well known in breed circles and is held as an example of quality and Morgan type by serious breeders.
Mrs. Pugh's daughter, Holly Johnson, shares her mother's love of horses and is a frequent exhibitor, continuing the tradition of family and Morgans at Tara Farm.
